Black Marbles
Like all the other marbles, black marbles are the result of the recrystallization of calcium carbonate and other minerals to form calcite crystals. The significant amount of graphite present in the composition of black marbles is what gives these marbles the dark black background. There are a varieties of black marbles in the market today but the most popular variants are: Black Marquina, Black Emperado and Sahara Noir.
As a symbol of elegance, black marbles have been used by top tier architects and interior designers throughout the international scenes. Its beautiful silvery white, and sometimes golden, veins on a contrasting black base is why it is so popular for luxury interiors. Commonly used for indoor applications, black marbles are usually reserved for high hotels and retailers, currently featuring in Moncler and Saint Laurent worldwide.
