Beige / Cream Marbles
Beige marble is a type of sedimentary and calcareous rock. The warm beige/cream colour of the marble is derived from high concentration of limonite compounds in its structure. These marbles are extracted from numerous countries around the world, largely from: Spain, Portugal, Italy, Egypt and Iran. Beige marble exists in many shade varieties, including light cream, sand and tan.
Beige marbles have been used since the ancient times to build structures, to carve sculptures and to create decorative items.
One of the marble’s most important feature lies in it’s soft and warm colour tone which makes it easily compatitble with almost any colour combinations. It’s ability to adapt to any decor from old to new and can be used in both comtemporary and modern designs, makes it still one of the most widely used types of marble for interior decorations today.
